The Power of the IIBN Network

“IIBN’s presentation of Inspirefest NY Salon and LEAP Launch began as an email from Kelly Hoey stating: 'Call Ann O'Dea of Silicon Republic.' That's the power of the hyperconnected IIBN network.” Mary Ann Pierce

STEM and a Better Future for Women

“When IIBN approached us about sponsoring this event, we were really excited to say yes. I was really impressed with Inspirefest’s commitment to promoting, celebrating and highlighting women in STEM as well as advising tech structures too. I'm thankful for work that you're going to hear about from LEAP, because that ensures that my daughters are going to have a better future, going forward, in the workplace.” Nicole Sullivan

Sciences and Technologies That Are Creating the Future

“At Inspirefest, we bring together about 50-plus speakers. Some of the key themes are blockchain, artificial intelligence, machine learning, small data, Ed Tech. We do look at diversity, but above all we look at the sciences and the technologies that are creating the future. Inspirefest is not just a conference about diversity and inclusion. It's a conference for people with smart minds. Some of the smartest people I know want a more diverse and inclusive tech sector.” Ann O'Dea

Human Will Always Be at the Core

“I'mhonestly, hereI can say, 'hand on heart,' because I've worked for and with women that have championed me, mentored me, coached me, and helped me get to this position. It's something that I'm very passionate about. I'm going to be at Inspirefest in July to talk about experiments in arts and technology. At Bell Labs, our approach to augmented intelligence is human interaction. We feel very strong that the human will always be at the core of anything we do. We want machines and intelligence to be able to enhance our life and be able to give us access to information in a way we never could, but we always want humans to be the decision makers.” Domhnaill Hernon

HATCH Helps Business Understand Change and Generate New Ideas

“HATCH is actually an acronym. It stands for Human Analytics, Think, Connect, HATCH. That's what we do...We use human analytics to help businesses understand how they change and how they can come up with new ideas."

“Scientists at UC Berkeley did a study. They said, "Awe and cultivating a sense of awe was the single most positive emotion that you could have, both physically and psychologically. When I think about AI and some of the concerns that people are talking about, it's really about the world changing.” Monica Parker

LEAP Combines Structure and Action

“The LEAP program really appealed to me because it was focused on women in leadership. The structure of the program was based on workshops, formal learning and mentoring but also there was an action part of it so we worked with organizations within the community.” Roisin Mullins, SVP Program Management at Intuition Publishing Ltd. and LEAP’16

LEAP Works on Real World Problems

"LEAP it is quite unique compared to other programs that I've done, because you do work in it. You actually have to sit down together, figure out a problem, and get something done.” Julie Currid

Amazing Community and Content

The power of community in IIBN is absolutely the power of Inspirefest. I had the great privilege of speaking there last year. I want to say, there were friendships I had before and more powerful friendships that have happened because of the amazing, not only the content but because of the Inspirefest community. Seriously, you need to talk to these people "up close and personal" tonight, as well as, with everyone in the LEAP program and connect to each other.” Kelly Hoey
